About Us
The Concrete Design Group is a full service decorative concrete firm providing innovative and affordable custom concrete workmanship for the New England area. We have extensive experience and knowledge in decorative concrete design, consultation, and installation for the commercial and residential building markets.

CDG has an unsurpassed reputation for quality work done in a timely, cooperative manner with constant attention to budget. About Rob
Rob Johnson has been finishing decorative concrete for more than 26 years. Over the course of his career he has worked with and trained for most of the large decorative concrete manufactureres in the US. After years of working with crews throughout North America as well as such as Hawaii and Australia, he returned to his native New England to re-introduce his craft to the area.

Rob is also the founder of the Decorative Concrete Network, an online forum and offline consortium of more than 1400 decorative concrete contractors worldwide. Since it's inception 9 years ago, the DCN has proved to be an invaluable resource for not only the custom concrete industry, but for homeowners, builders, architects, & designers as well..

Rob is constantly striving to stay on the cutting edge of custom concrete technology and push himself to create interesting & innovative projects. "I am always looking for ways to turn concrete into art or make an ordinary project extraordinary." 'My creativity has stemmed from a passion to learn everything I can about concrete and design, You wouldn't have convinced me of this in the first 10 years, but now I'm sort of considered by many to be an artist in this trade."

Rob is well versed in producing elegant and conservative floors, as well as exciting and wild works of art. "I love pushing the envelope by experimenting and creating new and exciting artistic finishes. I am always looking for the client / collaborator who wishes to venture down that different road and push what is possible."
